  4. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
  5. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot. Add the parsley pesto and toss until the pasta is well coated. If needed, add some of the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  6. Serve the pasta in bowls, garnished with cherry tomatoes and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
