Fresh Tomato Bruschetta

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Baguette or crusty bread slices

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil leaves, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Mix well to combine.
  2. Season the tomato mixture with salt and pepper according to your taste. Allow the flavors to meld for about 15 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Slice the baguette or crusty bread into thick slices and lightly toast them until golden brown.
  4. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto the toasted bread slices.
  5. Serve immediately as a delicious appetizer or snack.
