Ingredients:
- 20 fresh chili peppers (you can use jalapeños, habaneros, or a mix depending on your heat preference)
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Juice of 1 lime
Instructions:
- Prepare the peppers: Start by cutting off the stems of the peppers. If you want a less spicy sauce, you can remove the seeds and membranes. Be sure to wear gloves during this step to avoid chili burn.
- Cook the sauce: In a medium-sized pot, add peppers, garlic, onion, apple cider vinegar, water, salt, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the peppers and onions are very soft.
